Take My Yoke

IMG_4371.jpeg

“For My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”Mat. 11:30
God doesn’t want you to go through life constantly struggling, always burdened down, or always fighting against something. Yes, we know that trials and tribulations will come in this life. There may be seasons that are more difficult than others; but, we can’t just settle where we are and accept that it’s always going to be this way. Just like God led the Israelites into the Promised Land, He wants to lead you to a good land with no shortage and no lack. He wants to cause you to remain in His provision and blessing.

The key is that when difficulty comes, instead of focusing on where you are, instead of dwelling on how things won’t work, turn your focus toward Him. Lift up your eyes to heaven. Cast your cares on the Lord. Don’t let the heaviness of the world drag you down. Put your faith and hope in Him knowing that He has good things in store for your future. Keep praying, keep believing and keep trusting because His yoke is easy, His burden is light, and He’s leading you into the promises He has for you-

Pray this prayer out loud...

Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. Today, I choose to cast my cares on You, I choose to release the weight of my burdens to You as You’ve asked me to do. Thank You for setting me free and aligning me to walk in victory in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Those Who Hope In Me Will Not Be Disappointed

Adjustments.jpeg

“…those who hope in Me will not be disappointed.”

Isaiah 49:23

What a powerful promise we have from Almighty God! When we put our hope in Him, we will never be disappointed. Of course, that doesn’t mean that things will always go our way. There may be temporary disappointments, but we will never be permanently disappointed. God will always deliver us- as we chose to walk in His Devine Authority and believe His promises. We know and trust  Somewhere down the road, God will cause it to all work out for our good. With God on your side, you will always end in victory!

Are you carrying frustration, worry or aggravation about something? That’s usually a clear sign that your hope is in the wrong place. If you hope in circumstances, it will deplete you of joy and peace. But when you turn those circumstances over to God, when you refuse to worry, when you refuse to allow the temporary things of this world to dictate your happiness, that’s when God can do a work in your life. When you trust in Him, He will make your crooked places straight; He will cause you to mount up with wings like the eagle.

Today, choose to put your hope in the Father; you won’t be disappointed. Trust Him because He is faithful. Find rest for your soul in knowing that He is good, and He has good things in store for your future!

Pray this prayer-

Father, today I give You every frustration, every aggravation and every difficulty. I take Authority over these things in the Name of Jesus and cast them on You-  I release total control into Your loving and able hands. I receive Your promise of Your peace. I receive Your love as I place my hope in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Old Verses The New Covenant

Adjustments.jpeg

Most people know the Bible is divided into the Old Testament and New Testament, but the word "testament" also means "covenant," a contract between two parties.

The Old Testament was a foreshadowing of the New, a foundation for what was to come. From the Book of Genesis on, the Old Testament pointed forward to a Messiah or Savior. The New Testament describes the fulfillment of God's promise by Jesus The Christ.

Old Covenant: Between God and Israel Obedience to the Law

The Old Covenant was established between God and the people of Israel after God freed them from Egypt it was Moses who led the people out, served as the mediator of this contract, which was made at Mount Sinai.

God promised that the people of Israel would be his chosen people, and he would be their God (Exodus 6:7).

God issued the Ten Commandments and the laws in Leviticus to be obeyed by the Hebrews. If they complied, he pledged prosperity and protection in the Promise Land.

Altogether, there were 613 laws, covering every aspect of human behavior. Males had to be circumcised, sabbaths had to be observed, and people had to obey hundreds of dietary, social, and hygiene rules. All these regulations were intended to protect the Israelites from their neighbors' pagan influences, but no one could keep so many laws. To address the people's sins, God set up a system of animal sacrifices,  in which the people provided cattle, sheep, and doves to be killed. Sin required blood sacrifices. Lev. 29:11

Under the Old Covenant, those sacrifices were carried out at the desert tabernacle. God installed Moses' brother Aaron and Aaron's sons as priests, who slaughtered the animals. Only Aaron, the high priest, could enter the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement, to intercede for the people directly with God.

After the Israelites conquered Canaan, King Solomon built the first permanent temple in Jerusalem, where the animal sacrifices continued. Invaders eventually destroyed the temples, but when they were rebuilt, the sacrifices resumed.

New Covenant: Between God and New Covenant Believing Believers

That system of animal sacrifice lasted hundreds of years, but even so, it was only temporary. Out of love, God The Father sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world. This New Covenant would resolve the problem of sin once and for all.

For three years, Jesus taught throughout Israel about the kingdom of God and His role as Messiah. To support His claim as The Son Of God,  He performed many miracles, even raising three people from the dead. By dying on the cross, Christ was the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice whose blood has the power to wash away sin forever.

New Covenant began with Jesus' crucifixion. At Pentecost, with the coming of the Holy Spirit and founding of the Christian Church was established. The New Covenant was established between God and the individual Believer.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Besides serving as the sacrifice, Jesus also became the new high priest (Hebrews 4:14-16)

The New Covenant promises salvation from sin and eternal life with God. As high priest, Jesus constantly intercedes for his followers before his Father in heaven. Individuals may now approach God themselves; they no longer need a human high priest to speak for them.

Why the New Covenant Is Better

The Old Testament is a record of the nation of Israel struggling--and failing--to keep its covenant with God. The New Testament shows Jesus Christ keeping the covenant for his people, doing what they cannot do.

The New Testament book of Hebrews gives several reasons why Jesus is superior to the Old Covenant, among them:

  • Jesus is superior to Moses as a mediator;

  • Jesus is a high priest forever, seated next to God in heaven;

  • Jesus' sacrifice was once for all, perfecting believers for eternal life.

Both the Old and New Testaments are the story of the same God, a God of love and mercy who gave his people the freedom to choose and who gives his people the opportunity to come back to him by choosing Jesus Christ.

The Old Covenant was for a specific people in a specific place and time. The New Covenant extends to the entire world:

Hebrews 8:13  By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.

Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Happy Thanksgiving From Pastor Joe & Jacquelyn

Adjustments.jpeg

"O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!" (1. Chronicles 16:34)

Wouldn't it be great to have Thanksgiving 365 days a year?  We can because Thanksgiving isn't just a holiday; it's an attitude of the heart. We celebrate every day because no matter what is going on in life, we can find a reason to thank God.

Having an attitude of thanksgiving all depends on what you choose to focus on. You can either focus on your problems, or you can focus on your blessings.

The question is: Do you want more problems, or do you want more blessings?

Living with an attitude of gratitude means that you don't just thank God for what He did in the past, but you also thank Him for what He will do in the future. You thank Him for opening new doors. You thank Him for increasing you. You thank Him for bringing the right people into your life.

When we thank God in advance, that's really a declaration of faith. Your thanks is saying, "God, I'm so sure of Your goodness, I'm so sure that You're working in my life that I'm going to thank You right now for what You are going to do tomorrow!" Remember, faith is what pleases God. Faith is what moves Him. Faith is what opens the door for His promises to enter your life. Today and every day have an attitude of gratitude and let your faith say thank you!

Have an Amazing Thanksgiving Day- We Love You- Love in His Grace, Pastor Joe & Jacquelyn Sabolick-

See You Sunday! YAY!!!

Thanksgiving

Adjustments.jpeg

“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Are you giving thanks in every circumstance? This might seem like a stretch at first, especially when you are going through a season of difficulty. But notice today’s verse doesn’t say to give thanks “for” everything, it says give thanks “in” everything. In other words, no matter what’s going on, find something to be thankful for. Don’t just focus on what’s wrong in your life; focus on what God will do in your life.

When you are thankful, it opens the door for God to move on your behalf. That’s why it says “this is God’s will for you.” He wants you to be close to Him to receive His strength and power by giving thanks. That’s why we should always have the attitude that says, “God, in spite of what’s happened, I choose to be grateful. I may be sick, but Father, thank You for being my healer. Thank you for giving me great friends and family.” Or, “I may be struggling in my marriage, but God, thank You for being my restorer. Thank You for giving me another sunrise.” As you give thanks in everything, you will see God’s hand move mightily on your behalf, and you’ll come out of that difficulty better, stronger and wiser than before.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, today I choose to give You thanks in all things! I know that You are a good God, and You have good plans in store for my future. I Worship You and Thank You for another day to sing Your praise in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Focus

public.jpeg

“Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.”
Psalm 119:37

In order to live the life of victory God has promised, you have to be very selective about what you give your time and attention to. You have to recognize which thoughts to ignore, which comments to ignore, and sometimes, which people to ignore.

Every “battle” that comes across your path is not a battle that you’re supposed to fight. Many battles are simply distractions to try to lure you off course. If that battle is not between you and your God-given destiny, it’s a battle you should ignore.

Many people get thrown off course because they are always trying to straighten everyone else out or win their approval. But if that’s your focus, you are wasting valuable time and energy that you should be using to pursue your what God has for you. Turn away from that distraction! You don’t need the approval of everyone around you; you only need God’s approval!

It’s very freeing when you realize you don’t have to fight every battle. You don’t have to straighten people out. You don’t have to get somebody back. Instead, focus on what matters, focus on God and His Word so you can live in peace and happines every day of your life!

Prayer for today-

Father, thank You for ordering my steps. Thank You for planning good things for me. Thank you for your wisdom to discern the things I should ignore. Help me to avoid distractions as I focus my heart and mind on You today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Love in Christ, Pastor Joe

Discover The Key To Your Blessings

public.jpeg

Galatians 3:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Corinthians 1:20 says; For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through Him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Do you want to experience more of God's blessing in your life?

Believing, agreeing and receiving God’s word is the key that unlocks the door to His abundance.

When you put God’s Word (His Promises to you) first place in your life, God said you'll be blessed in the city and in the country—you'll be blessed wherever you go! Deuteronomy 28 says that you will be so blessed that you will lend and not borrow. Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance? God doesn't want you to be living with a barely-get-by attitude. We don't serve a barely-get-by God; our God is more than enough! He wants you to have more than enough to meet your needs and be a blessing to the people around you. Today, make room in your life for the blessing of God.

Choose to believe His Word and be blessed wherever you go!

See You Sunday- 10AM

Don’t Be Mixed Up

public.jpeg

“By Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.” Acts 13:39

To understand the Grace of God, it is vitally important you understand the differences between the old covenant of law and the new covenant of grace. To help you accelerate your understanding of law and grace, I want to share with you a powerful, freeing scripture. It’s really the foundation of the New Covenant-

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  -John 1:17

The law was given through a servant. Grace and truth came through The Son. The law communicates what man ought to be. But Grace reveals Who God Is. A huge difference.  In the first miracle of Moses, he turned water into blood, resulting in death. In the first miracle of Grace, Jesus turned water into wine, resulting in Life and celebration. The letter (the law) kills, but the Spirit gives life (see 2 Cor. 3:6).

Under the law, God demands righteousness from sinfully bankrupt man. Which is impossible.  Romans 3:10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; on your very best day of your attempt to be Holy outside of the Blood of Jesus you are nothing but (self) righteous.

But under grace, God provides righteousness as a gift. If you’ve Received Christ by faith and simply believe in Him God makes you His Righteous Saint.

2 Corinthians 5:21 Says;
21 For our sake God made Jesus to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God by believing.  Jesus repeatedly said that whosoever “believes” shall be saved- Not obeying, but believing!  The Old Covenant was all based upon obeying and performance- The New Covenant is based upon Believing and receiving Gods Gift of Righteousness.  (See Romans 5:17) In the New Covenant Righteousness is Now a Gift to be Received. Now, which covenant would you like to be under? The answer is obvious!

The truth is, through the cross at Calvary, all who believe in Jesus and acknowledge Him as their Lord and Savior are under the new covenant of grace. Yet today many believers are still living in confusion, and get law and grace all mixed up by holding on to some aspects of the law and some aspects of grace in their Christian beliefs and walk. Jesus said you cannot put new wine into old wineskins. The new wine will ferment and break the wineskins, and you will lose both (see Matt. 9:17). In the same way, you cannot put the new wine of grace into the old wineskin of the law. One will cancel out the other (see Rom. 11:6).

Under the law, God said, “I will by no means clear the guilty, but I will visit their sins to the third and fourth generations” (see Exod. 34:7). But under grace, God says, “I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more” (see Heb. 8:12).

There has been a change! Can you see with absolute high-definition clarity that there has been a radical change and it is all because of Jesus? Choose to live wholly under the new covenant of grace today, where through Christ’s perfect finished work at the cross, you have God’s righteousness as a gift, and God’s own Spirit of life leading you to victory over areas of defeat.

Know Who You Are

public.jpeg

Dear Friend in Christ;

Until you receive the revelation of who you are in Christ and know certain truths, you aren't going to experience the victory God intends for you.

People don't like to hear this because it makes them responsible; It’s all about knowing the revelation of our spirit, soul, and body.

Everything I teach is based on the revelation of who I am in Christ--who I am in my born-again spirit.

I want to make sure everyone knows that this truth holds the key that will unlock God's blessings. Once you understand this, the Bible comes alive.

Every born-again believer has undergone a complete inner transformation.

 Our Church’s foundational verse-

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

It doesn't say that all things are becoming new or have the potential of becoming new--they are new the moment we are born again.

To understand that we are totally new requires us to understand how God put us together.

What part of us did God make new?

It's  obviously not our bodies, because we are still shaped the same as before.

It's obviously not our minds, because we still think the same and have the same emotions. So what is it? It's our spirits.

We are all made up of three parts, which some don't know.Something that helped me make sense of this is that God is three parts too, and we are made in His image. First Thessalonians 5:23 makes it clear: "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

It’s easy to figure out that the new part isn’t your body or soul (mind, will, emotions, conscience), it’s your spirit. His Word confirms this again in 1 Corinthians 6:17: "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." Similar to the way that physical relationships produce a physical union, the born-again experience creates a spiritual union. Our spirits become one with God's. Since it's in His Word, we need to believe it, even if we don't quite understand it yet.

This brings up the tough problem of figuring out how to apply what's true in God's Word--our new spirits are one with Him--to our old bodies and souls. It's easy to understand both our bodies and our souls. We are receiving information from them all the time.

For example, if I put my hand on someone's shoulder, they would know that I touched them. I could also make people feel happy or sad, or I could even hurt them without any physical contact, simply by the words I speak. Those words are processed by the mind and felt in the emotions.

However, you can't feel your spirit that same way. If you don't understand that the spiritual reality can't be felt, then you'll be confused when God's Word declares that you have the same power living in you that raised Jesus from the dead (Eph. 1:19-20).

If you think truth can be discerned through your natural senses, you'll be baffled when the Bible says you're a brand-new creature who can do the same miraculous works that Jesus did--and more (2 Cor. 5:17and John 14:12).

God's Word reveals spiritual reality. If you want to know what your spirit is like, you must find out from the Word, not rely on emotions or other perceptions. God's Word is spirit and life.

This revelation of the relationship between the spirit, soul, and body will transform your life. It will set you free when You realize that God has already given you everything You needed and it's all contained in my spirit--all You need to do is release it. That simple understanding changes everything.

The Christian life isn't a process of "getting from God"; it's a process of renewing your mind and learning to release what you've already received.

2 Peter 1. verse 3&4 says; “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may be partakers of the divine nature...”

If you don’t understand that at salvation you have already received in your spirit all that you will ever need, there will always be doubt.

You may know it's possible, or even promised in the Word, but you'll be trying to perceive it in the mental, emotional, or physical realm.

That's a recipe for failure.

That misconception can also result in a performance-based relationship with God:

"If I'm good enough, if I read the Bible enough, if I pay all my tithe . . ." and on and on it goes, in an attempt to motivate God to give you what you need.

It's wrong to think that God hasn't already given you everything, and that somehow you have to make yourself worthy enough to get it.

You're already worthy because of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. He paid the price for everything you will ever need.

In fact, you've already got it! It's just a matter of understanding the relationship of the spirit to the soul and body.

Understanding spirit, soul, and body is critically important to every believer.

It's the key to receiving God's grace. It could be a matter of life and death. And it's the foundation to understanding the rest of Scripture.

As your Pastor it’s my passion for you to get this so you will be in a constant outlook of Victory!

Love In His Grace, Pastor Joe-

Halloween! What Does The Bible Say?

public.jpeg

Halloween, no matter how commercialized, has almost completely pagan origins. As innocent as it may seem to some, it is not something to be taken lightly. Christians tend to have various ways to celebrate or not to celebrate Halloween. For some, it means having an “alternative” Harvest Party. For others, it is staying away from the ghosts, witches, goblins, etc., and wearing  innocent costumes like little princesses, clowns, cowboys, super-heroes. Some choose not to do anything, electing to lock themselves in the house with the lights off.  Please don’t do that- You’re The Light Of The World-

With our freedom as Christians, we are at liberty to decide how to act.

Scripture does not speak at all about Halloween, but it does give us some principles on which we can make a decision. In Old Testament Israel, witchcraft was a crime punishable by death (Exodus 22:18; Leviticus 19:31; 20:6, 27). The New Testament teaching about the occult is clear. Acts 8:9-24, the story of Simon, shows that occultism and Christianity don't mix. The account of Elymas the sorcerer in Acts 13:6-11 reveals that sorcery is violently opposed to Christianity.

Paul called Elymas a child of the devil, an enemy of righteousness and a perverter of the ways of God.

In Acts 16, at Philippi, a fortune-telling girl lost her demon powers when the evil spirit was cast out by Paul. The interesting matter here is that Paul refused to allow even good statements to come from a demon influenced person. Acts 19 shows new converts who have abruptly broken with their former occultism by confessing, showing their evil deeds, bringing their magic paraphernalia, and burning it before everyone (Acts 19:19).

So, should a Christian celebrate Halloween? Is there anything evil about a Christian dressing up as a princess or cowboy and going around the block asking for candy? No, there is not. Are there things about Halloween that are anti-Christian and should be avoided? Absolutely! If parents are going to allow their children to participate in Halloween, they should make sure to keep them from getting involved in the darker aspects of the day. If Christians are going to take part in Halloween, their attitude, dress, and most importantly, their behavior should still reflect a redeemed life (Philippians 1:27). There are many churches that hold "harvest festivals" and incorporate costumes, but in a godly environment. There are many Christians from New Creation Church who hand out tracts that share the Gospel along with the Halloween candy. The decision is ultimately ours to make. But as with all things, we are to incorporate the principles of Romans 14. We can’t allow our own convictions about a holiday to cause division in the body of Christ, nor can we use our freedom to cause others to stumble in their faith. We are to do all things as to the Lord.

I personally use it as just another opportunity to share Christ- as families walk their kids door to door; We are out there with candy, a Bible and a New Creation Card! It’s simply a great opportunity to invite them to come to church-  Don’t let this opportunity pass by without sharing God’s Great News Of His Wonderful Grace-

Love in Christ, Pastor Joe-

Be Bold

public.jpeg

Today’s  Devotion

The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1

We are called to live bold, confident and overcoming lives. You don’t have to live under a burden of fear. You don’t have to live with anxiety. Because of Jesus, fear, worry and uncertainty are beneath you. When you Rise Up in faith, knowing that God is with you and for you, all doubt and fear have to leave your life. Notice that today’s Scripture says that the righteous are as bold as a lion. Righteousness is God’s way of doing things.
The scripture says;   “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.”Rom.3:22

Because you are a born again believer you are now the Righteousness of Christ- therefore you have the boldness of God dwelling in you.

You Now Have The Boldness He promises that brings you victory and success. It may not always be the way you had in mind, but ultimately, His plan is to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future! Today, if you’ve been feeling anxious or fearful, begin to declare God’s truth over your life that He has set you free! Declare that you are righteous in Christ Jesus! Declare that you are more than a conqueror! Declare that you are as bold as a lion because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world!

Pray this prayer out loud & mean it from your heart- Father, thank You for setting me free from a spirit of fear. Thank You for filling me with strength and boldness. I set aside thoughts of worry and dread and thank You for Your peace as I keep my mind fixed on You in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Holy Communion

public.jpeg

As I think and pray for you today, it is my prayer that healing comes to every part of your life. This is why I want you to know with certainty that God has made provision for you to live healed and whole through His Son, Jesus.

When our Lord Jesus took the punishment for your sins at the cross, He also paid the price for the healing of your sicknesses and diseases. Today, you can look to Him and receive His healing!

If you or someone you love is dealing with an illness today, know that I am praying for you. I know it’s a difficult battle that can be discouraging but hold on to this one important truth, beloved . . .

There is no illness, no condition, no sickness or disease that the perfect work of Christ has not covered ! He is our antidote against every infirmity.

You can look to Jesus to receive your strength, health, and wholeness. And because He loves you so much, He has also provided His body and blood in the Passover meal we call the holy Communion. It is at that place you can partake of His health and wholeness that happened at The Cross.  He Rose from the Dead so you and I could live forevermore.

That’s why I Believe what Jesus Said; “ Do This In Remembrance Of Me”. Why? Because In His Death You Received Life In every aspect your life. (Acts 20:17 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to celebrate The Lords Supper...)

Sunday (the first day of the week) is the Lords Day which we Remember, Reflect and Receive All that God has for us.

If the Disciples who walked with Jesus, were there at His Resurrection, Ascension and Baptized in The Holy Spirit... if they gathered with the Church every Sunday for Holy Communion- How much more should we gather together every Sunday to do the same?

We are His Church Believing What He called Us To Do.

Love In His Grace,

Pastor Joe

How To Overcome Depression

public.jpeg

We all have times when we wake up in the morning and feel emotionally drained- we don’t feel very excited about anything. But just because we feel those emotions doesn’t mean we have to stay there and give in to them; we can shake it off and move forward in faith relying on God’s strength.

A great example of someone in the Bible who had a lot of experience in shaking off negative emotions is David. He had to fight being moody, and he was the King of Israel. He had all kinds of opportunity, power and position. He was wealthy, and yet, he still struggled with being depressed and discouraged. That tells me that having to choose to rule over negative feelings is something every person has to deal with. Don’t think you’re alone if you feel this way. Turn to God and His hope. Don’t think, “If I just had more money, if I had a better job, if I had a different spouse, then I’d be in a good mood- Then I wouldn’t have to deal with these feelings.” No, you may think that, but every person has to fight the temptation to just give in and live by how we feel.

I love what David did; he talked to himself. He said, “Why are you cast down, oh, my soul? Hope in the Lord.” That’s Psalm 42. He was saying in everyday language, “David, what are you doing in a bad mood? Stop looking at your problems and start looking at your God.” That tells me that true joy is found only in God, when you take your eyes off of how you feel and your circumstances and place them on God and His Word.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is talk to ourselves and speak scripture over our lives. When you’re tempted to be in a bad mood, go look in the mirror and say, “Listen here, self. You need to cheer up. Get your joy back, get your peace back. I’m not going to live this day defeated.” You have to stay on the offensive. Don’t wait until you’ve been down for three days before you decide to do something about it. The moment you feel that discouragement trying to come on you, rise up and say, “No, I’m not going there.” You wake up in the morning and feel the blahs, you say, “Nope, that’s not for me. This is going to be a good day. It’s the day the Lord has made.”

Do you know being in a sour mood because of your problems doesn’t make it better, it makes it worse? It puts more pressure on you. It makes you more miserable. A better approach is to say, “God, I’m turning this situation over to You. I’m not going to let it steal my joy. I know You’re in control. And at the right time, I believe You’ll not only turn it around, but You’ll bring me out better off than I was before.” That’s how we rule over negative feelings. It’s simply a decision that we make every day where we have to dig our heels in and decide that our feelings are not going to dictate what kind of day we’re going to have. You can rule over your emotions and choose to be in a good mood in spite of how you feel. You can choose what kind of day you’re going to have. You can choose how you’re going to live your life.

I know, maybe in the natural, you have a good reason to be down and discouraged. But don’t allow yourself to go there. When you are stable in spite of what’s come against you, that’s one of the best ways to show God that you’re trusting Him.

Decide not to live by how you feel. Go deeper than that and start living by what you know. You know God is in control. You know He’s got a great plan for your life. You know His power is greater than any other power. When you wake up and those old negative, discouraging thoughts and feelings come, shake them off. Be done with that roller coaster living. Don’t give into your emotions and let them keep you from God’s blessings and promotion. Start choosing to live each day in God’s peace. Decide that you’re going to have a great day. By doing so, you will see God work in your life in greater ways because your eyes are fixed toward Him instead of your situation, and you’ll live the life of victory He has in store for you! We are praying for you- and Know you are loved & cared for-

A Brand New Thing

public.jpeg

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

Isaiah 43:19“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun!”

Can you see the “brand new thing” God is doing in your life? Sometimes it’s easy to see the hand of God moving, and sometimes the storms of life can cloud our vision. But no matter where you are in life today, meditate on this truth that God is working even when you can’t see Him. Like a seed buried deep in the ground, it may seem dark and lonely and there may be dirt all around, but that is the place where life springs forth. Trust that God is doing a New Thing! You can trust Him because He is faithful! His plan for you today is blessing. His plan is to give you a future and a hope. His plan is to do a New Thing in your life. Let go of the thoughts of the past and open your heart to what God is doing today. Ask Him to show you what He’s doing. Ask Him to reveal it to your heart. Seek Him and you will find Him and see the brand new think He’s doing in you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus and for doing a new work in me by the Power Of The Holy Spirit! Thank You for the brand new thing You have. I open my heart and put my faith and trust in You in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Love in His Amazing Grace- Pastor Joe.

Offer Praise Continually

public.jpeg

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess His name.

Hebrews 13:15

TODAY’S WORD:

What an amazing privilege we have to enter boldly into God’s throne of grace through Jesus. We have access to Him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! We don’t come empty-handed to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He made us worthy to enter into His presence through the Cross so now we enter with His presence with Our Praise, Our Thanksgiving and Our Worship. We openly profess His Name which is the fruit of our lips. We enter His gates with an offering of adoration from our hearts. Praise is the expression of gratefulness to God for Who He is and all that He has done.

Praise is a powerful tool in the life of the believer because God inhabits the praises of His people!  Psalm 22:3

When we enter His presence with Praise, Thanksgiving and Worship He enters our circumstances; and when God shows up, the enemy must flee!

Today, enter into His gates with thanksgiving and open the door for Him to move on your behalf!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, I do offer You continual praise. I choose to follow Your Word so that You may be glorified through me. Let everything within me honor You in all that I do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Love in His Grace,

Pastor Joe

…those who hope in Me Will Not Be Disappointed.

public.jpeg

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…those who hope in Me Will Not Be Disappointed.” Isaiah 49:23

TODAY’S WORD:

What a powerful promise we have from Almighty God! When we put our hope in Him, we will Never be disappointed.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that things will always go our way. There may be temporary disappointments, setbacks, but we will never be permanently disappointed. Somewhere down the road, God will cause it to all work out for our good because we are His Child. With God on your side, you will always end in Victory!

Are you carrying frustration, worry or aggravation about something?

That’s usually a clear sign that your hope is in the wrong place or in the wrong person- If you hope in circumstances, they will deplete you of joy and peace. But when you turn those circumstances over to The Lord Jesus, when you refuse to worry, when you refuse to allow the temporary things of this world to dictate your happiness, that’s when God can do a work in your life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, today I give You every frustration, every aggravation, every difficulty. I receive Your Authority over these things in The Mighty Name Of Jesus- I release all my cares into Your loving and able hands. I receive Your peace. I lean on and trust Your love as I place my hope in You; In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

He Increases Your Strength

public.jpeg

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].

Isaiah 40:29

TODAY’S WORD:

In the Scripture, Joseph went through seasons of difficulty. He was rejected by his family, sold into slavery, lied about, mistreated, abandoned, falsely accused of a crime and thrown in prison. But through it all, Joseph never gave up. He kept pressing through and doing the right thing even though the wrong thing kept happening. Psalm 105:18 tells us that as Joseph lay in prison in those chains of iron, his soul entered into that iron. In that prison, Joseph developed supernatural strength, a perseverance that no one could take away. There are some lessons you can only learn in the dark places.

If you are going through difficulty today, God wants to increase your strength. He wants to increase your power to overcome. He wants to make your inner man as strong as steel. When you keep standing, keep believing and keep doing the right thing, you are opening yourself to God’s supernatural strength. That’s when you know you are growing in Him. Be strong today. Keep pressing forward because God is at work increasing strength in you so that you can live in victory in every area of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, today I take authority over everything in my path In The Name Of Jesus- I cast every difficulty on You. I release the questions, hurts and frustrations. I choose to trust You and do the right thing. Thank you that you Increase Your strength in me so that I can live in the victory! Thank You for All You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your Path Is Getting Brighter

public.jpeg

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day."

Proverbs 4:18

TODAY'S WORD:

Are you facing a situation that seems dim today? Maybe you can't quite see what's going to happen in the future. As a believer, God promises that your path will shine brighter and brighter as you are seeking Him. He promises that the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn shining brighter to the full day!

That’s an amazing promise for you today-

What does it mean to be righteous?

Righteousness is simply being in "right standing" with God by receiving God’s Gift of Righteousness Jesus Christ.

Being in right standing is receiving All God accomplished on The Cross for You- and in return God declares you His Righteousness- That means your path and life is going to get brighter everyday!

He longs to bless, provide & take care of all your needs & the desires of your heart by receiving and believing His promises to you by faith!

No matter what you may be facing today, know that God has a bright future for you.

He wants to show you His ways and lead you down a bright path!

Seek Him in all things and trust that you have brighter days ahead!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father, thank You for giving me a bright future. I know that You have a wonderful plan and purpose for me. Show me Your ways as I put You first in all things in Jesus' Name. Amen."

Love in His Grace,

Pastor Joe.

Patience My Friend

public.jpeg

There's always a temptation to grow impatient if something doesn't happen when we think it should. When prayers aren't answered on our timetable or when dreams don't happen as quickly as we had hoped, we can become restless, which only hurts us in the end.

You may feel called to a particular career, but you're not there yet. That's okay. God's not in a hurry, so you shouldn't feel pressured.

We live in an impatient world, and we all have is to use the gift of Patience God has given us-  Patience is one of the hardest qualities to tap into because we want everything now! On the highway, people can become impatient with other drivers, especially if they're in a hurry to get somewhere. And people often get impatient with their children, waiters, store clerks, and so forth.

One indication that we are impatient with the Lord is when we start complaining and whining to Him. You might say, "I would never do such a thing!" But when we ask—"Lord, why haven't You already done such and such? I don't understand what is taking so long"—we are in walking in unbelief.

Patience is necessary because we can't stay in faith without it.

Hebrews 6:12 tells us it's through faith and patience that we inherit the promises of God.

I encourage you to allow the fruit of the Spirit in you to dominate you—to let the patience on the inside to be displayed on the outside. Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Now is not the time to "faint," or lose patience, because in due season you shall reap!

That blessing you have been waiting on is right around the corner- keep believing, keep praising, keep giving and watch God’s Faithfulness come through over and over-

See you Sunday!

Investing Gods Way

public.jpeg

And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19

There is a law of sowing and reaping in both the natural and the spiritual realms. And it's a law that works! Yet from my experience, more people fail when it comes to faith for finances than for anything else. The reason is that they're trying to exercise faith for finances, but they haven't planted any seed!

They want God to bless their finances even though they haven't sown anything.

The Jesus plainly taught, "GIVE, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete [measure] withal it shall be measured to you again" (Luke 6:38).

The Bible also plainly says, "He who SOWS sparingly will reap also sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully" (2 Cor. 9:6).

If you want a bountiful crop, you've got to sow bountifully.

You can't reap a crop without sowing (planting) seed.

You can't go out into your backyard and say, "I'm going to pick some tomatoes," if the ground hasn't been prepared and the seed sown.

The first step, then, toward getting your financial needs met is to believe God’s Word He has Given to You.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10

God said we are to bring our tithes—10 percent of our income—into His house, and in return He will open up the windows of Heaven. "Prove me now herewith," He said.

So just go ahead- “Believe and Trust Me” God says to You- Believe My Word To You in the area of finances.

Pay your tithes and give offerings.

Act on God's Word in faith, and God will bless you because He's faithful and True to His Word.

Then beyond cooperating with God's laws concerning tithing and giving offerings, be open to receive further light from His Word concerning giving blessing to others. Also, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Who will very often direct you specifically to give.

Now don't do something just because somebody else did. Don't operate on someone else's experience.

Operate on what you know the Bible says, and operate on what the Holy Spirit is saying to you.

You don't have to have any "leading" to pay tithes and give offerings. You don't need to be led to give and sow.

The Bible tells you to Do those things, so just Do them. But when you get out beyond that, it's when you actually believe The Spirit of God that things happen.

Start where you are.

Be faithful to Trust, Believe and obey the Word by paying your tithes and giving offerings.  And be Trusting to the leading of the Holy Spirit when He directs you specifically to give.

You can't out-give God.

If you sow seeds bountifully in faith and believing, you will reap an abundant harvest of blessings!  That’s God’s Word and He will Not go back on His Word To You-  Trust Him Today and Get Ready For The Windows Of Heaven To Open-
