In It to Win It

One thing boxers do during a fight is to find their corner and listen to their coach. In the heat of the match, they may think they know how to win, but the coach sees things they don't.

Spiritually speaking, the presence of God is in our corner. And it's essential that you get in your corner and listen to your "coach"—the Holy Spirit—so He can show you how to win.

Often, a person’s biggest battle is time. The enemy’s strategy is to keep you busy and away from the Word. He knows that a person who doesn't spend time in the Word will never find their true identity.

When speaking to Mary and Martha, Jesus said Martha was too busy and distracted. Her sister, Mary, chose the better thing—to sit at Jesus' feet and receive from Him (Luke 10:41-42).

You have to make time for the Lord because your strength comes from being in His presence.

There are times in life when you are hit hard and get knocked down. What do champions do?

They get up. The Apostle Paul got up repeatedly. He said, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed"(2 Cor. 4:8-9). None of those things moved him.

Being in a storm is never enjoyable. But there is a grace for you to stand.

After you come out, it produces wonderful results in your life. It brings you to maturity. It causes you to be steadfast, immovable, and grounded in the love of God.

Everything you go through is subject to change and God can change in a day what we can’t change in a lifetime.

Knowing how to use the Word shows you how to overcome any situation.

The Bible says that God makes a way of escape in every temptation and every thing you encounter (1 Cor. 10:13).

Sometimes the way of escape is only a matter of not saying the wrong thing but speaking life because "death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Prov. 18:21).

The enemy tries to discourage you in any way he can.

But you don't have to take it. Set your eyes like flint to finish in Victory the race God has called you to. Being everything God has and is calling you to be.

God is building champions—those who will stay in the battle and be the last one standing in the ring.

Humble yourself and embrace your identity. Don't quit. Don't give up. Don't settle for the status quo. You were born again to be a champion, and God is not done with You!

You are headed into the best times of your life!

Love in His Grace, Pastor Joe.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie,

Nor a son of man, that He should repent.

Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
